On-call pay cuts still leave doctors with above average pay

When Kevin Moran, his fiancée Sonia Rodriguez, and their son, Emilio Moran lay down to sleep on May 13, it was just another Monday night on Warmington St. in Ripley. It was when Rodriguez was awakened at 11:25 p.m. by 4-year-old Emilio that the night became anything but normal. "My son woke up his mother to ask what was the light outside," said Kevin. "She looked outside and saw that a fire had engulfed the entire back of the house." The family left the home just in time to see Emilio's bedroom and their bedroom go up in flames. Riverside County Fire Department from Ripley, Blythe, and Mesa Verde all arrived but it was too late to save the home.
